Abstract   Bell (forensic chemistry, West Virginia University) explains traditional and emerging concepts and technologies in forensic science in this 600-entry encyclopedia. In addition to entries, the encyclopedia also includes 14 essays on how forensic science relates to areas such as terrorist attacks, privacy concerns, and drug testing in sports. Some 200 b&w photos and illustrations, plus a section of color photos, are included, as well as a list of acronyms and abbreviations. The encyclopedia will be useful to students, general readers, journalists, and working professionals.
